Taiwanese Actor’s Wife Complains He’s A "Control Freak", Even Dictates When She Can Shower: “10.30pm Is The Latest”
Why won't Taiwanese actor Michael Yang let his wife shower when she wants to?
He recently shared a clip from Taiwanese variety show Dee Girls Talk, where he and his wife, Taiwanese model Chloe Qin were guests, discussing the week's topic of "control freaks".
In the ep, Chloe called out Michael, who was wearing a label that read 'control king', for being overly strict about when she should take a shower.
Michael, 40, and Chloe, 41, got married in 2012 and have an eight-month-old daughter, Xiao Xue Bao.
“You know when you want to relax a bit and watch a drama? You’ve just finished one episode and are about to start the second, but he presses pause,” said Chloe.
“He would personally walk over, pause the show and tell me: ‘Go and shower, what time is it already?’”
Chloe added that it was only 10pm when this happened, and she felt she could easily watch another episode before taking a shower.
“I’d go and shower at 11pm, but he’d say no and just turn off the TV. Whatever you want to do, he has to do things his own way,” she added.
But before Chloe could finish, Michael interrupted her with his own take on the matter.
“I think 10.30pm is already the latest time one should shower,” he declared.
His deadpan remark left the entire studio in disbelief.
“Who made that rule?” one guest asked. “Is your house a boot camp?”
Others speculated whether he was concerned about losing his heat source after that hour, but the actor did not respond to their questions.
In his caption accompanying the clip, Michael mused: “Life can be flexible, but without rules, how can there be any flexibility?”
Surprisingly, some netizens agreed with him.
“True freedom comes from self-discipline,” one netizen wrote.
Another agreed, saying: “Having a consistent daily routine is actually one way to build a sense of security, especially for children. Establishing that sense of security is very important for their development.”
Erm, did they forget that Chloe's already an adult?
